Atuah Osteopathy is glad to start practicing again after closing to protect patients and the general public. From Monday 22 June Antoinette will be available for face to face consultations at Salford, Prestwich and Westhoughton.
This is with the full backing of the osteopathy regulatory body, the General Osteopathic Council, and the Institute of Osteopathy, who have provided strict infection control guidelines to keep patients safe.
Some of these measures include:
- Screening all patients before they attend the clinic; you will receive a phonecall 24 hours before your session
- Spacing out appointments to avoid over lap in the waiting room and for extra cleaning time between appointments
- Working in full PPE; including masks, gloves, aprons and in some instances changing clothes between patients.
- Covid specialised cleaning protocols are in place for between patients and throughout the day, including frequent hand washing
- Reduced clinic opening hours and reduced the amount of available sessions.
- Reduced the amount of therapists in the clinic to reduce the number of bodies in clinic at one time.
- Running without a reception team, to protect them and their families.
The following is what the clinic will be asking of YOU before and during a session:
- You will be asked to arrive at the clinic wearing a face mask or covering to protect our patients and staff. Please wash your hands on arrival.
- You will be asked to come to the appointment wearing appropriate clothing so you do not need to get changed into our gowns or shorts.
- You will be asked to arrive on time, not early or late. This will avoid patients having to cross paths.
- Wherever possible please pay by card; if you must use cash please have the correct amount with you.
- You will have to inform us if you do develop any of the Covid-19 related symptoms before your session
Please do not attend your appointment if you have the following Covid-19 related symptoms:
- a high temperature
- a new, continuous cough, or a
- loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
- breathlessness
Or if you have been in contact with someone who have tested positive for Covid-19.
